It would be really awesome if we could configure an access point for pocket to connect to (e.g., your home’s wireless router) for auto syncing to pocket cloud instead of directly to your phone via the app. This would be significantly easier, faster, and additionally an option to have it always sync or on while charging would be incredible! Yeah, battery life would probably take a hit but worth it in my opinion. I saw other idea posts here but they seemed to just be talking about connecting the device to the mobile app via WiFi and NOT the pocket device itself connecting to an access point. Unless I’m missing some aspect of security or hardware limitations, this seems like it would benefit a lot of pocket users who aren’t around their phone all day.

Access to the API so that other services can access the recordings and summaries in Pocket would be good for integrating with other productivity services.

For instance pressing on a timestamp in the transcript will bring you to the place in the recording. This would allow you easily identify voices and see who said what. Sometimes if you have a very long recording, it can be a slog or you can completely forget who mentioned/said what based on only the text context.

In reading through the community chat, it appears there is no way to listen to the audio files on the device itself. I have a similar device I can do this with and it's very helpful as I may record several different things each day one right after the other without stopping to name the files. During my review time, I like to listen to the beginning of the conversation to see if I even need to keep the file (and have it transcribed, summarized and mind-mapped) and then transfer it to my iPhone or Mac.

I pay a monthly fee for chatGPT access ... and it would be useful if this device could attach to it for reference purposes and then it would allow me to ask questions across my content stored in that account as well.

I want to be able to export PDF without branding. I’m not trying to advertise pocket, it’s unprofessional to show this branding. As a paying Pro user I should have the right to export a bare PDF without branding.

Managing our speaker list is a relatively important task. Currently there's not an intuitive way to access the current speakers. I propose adding a "Speakers" setting, which opens the modal, allowing you to edit existing speakers and add new ones.

If there was a founding member icon in the app for having that status or whatever special status an individual has on their account I think it would relieve a lot of anxiety about new pricing models and perks, there could be access to an FAQ if tapped on maybe even

Allow Pocket users to connect any open-source LLM (Llama 3, Mistral, Gemma, Phi-3, etc.) running on a self-hosted or third-party OpenAI-compatible endpoint as a fully supported AI provider alongside the default models

Manual syncing is fine, but requires user input and also stops if screen turns off. It would be ideal if new recordings could sync in the background automatically.

Editing transcript is similar but trimming the recording would be a bulk way to edit as well as shrink file size.

Right now, when you sync, there's a button you click to generate a summary and a pop-up happens asking you to choose a template. I feel like here it should also have you label the speakers, so that when it's summarizing it will summarize with names instead of "speaker 3". In order to change it from "speaker 3" to "john" you have to go into the transcript and tap on them. It would make a lot more sense to be able to access the speaker labeling functions quicker and easier.

I’d really like full Microsoft integration with outlook, email and calendar. If I’m in a conversation that requires a follow up email I’d like for that email to be drafted based on the conversation any appointments or reminders to be added to my Outlook tasks.

I would like to have the meeting summary view in a desktop log-in-able environment or browser-based log-in-able environment. The UI from when you share a meeting is fine, right? So even just having a landing page that enables viewing of each one of those meetings in that shareable browser-based UI is fine or something along those lines. Ideally that would also make it easier to do different taggings or different groupings of meetings or add in notes to meetings so that when you use an API to more interactively call a context, you've been able to input it all in there very effectively and debrief against it, etc.

Would love to see a Pocket MCP server to access our data within various LLM integrations!
