Feature Ideas
Submit IdeaLifetime Pocket Pro subscription
Can we get an option to buy a lifetime subscription at a deal to pocket pro as early adopters? I see value in the upgrade but hate having subscription fees. Many other products I have used had the lifetime option and got all the features on their device and devices they upgraded to later. Let’s go for premium so we can refer even more to the service and device!!

Plans for MacOS, Windows, or Linux (Web) apps?
The ability to access and work with the cloud data on other non-mobile devices would be a great option for those who wish to use full size displays and keyboards when possible. V1 at https://community.heypocket.com/t/pocket-web-is-live-beta-and-happy-halloween/692/4 -- Pocket Team

Dark Mode for Pocket App
Why This Matters, I love what Pocket is doing, it’s a brilliant tool that’s become part of my workflow. But after using it for a few hours, especially at night or in low-light environments, the bright white interface can be tough on the eyes. For people like me who deal with photo sensitivity or light-triggered eye strain, a Dark Mode isn’t just a preference, it’s a necessity. It allows us to stay productive, focused, and comfortable without having to step away because of light fatigue. Why It’s Worth Adding • Dark mode improves accessibility for users with light sensitivity. • It reduces glare and blue light strain, especially during long sessions. • It matches the user experience expectations set by most modern productivity tools today. • It would make the Pocket app more inclusive while appealing to design-conscious and night-owl users alike. The Ask Let’s get Dark Mode on the roadmap! It’s one of those “quality-of-life” upgrades that everyone benefits from, plus, it’s Sexy, whether you’re working late, presenting in a dim setting, or just prefer a calmer interface. If you’d like to see this happen too, upvote this suggestion so the dev team can prioritize it sooner. Every click helps push this closer to implementation. Let’s make the Pocket app easier on the eyes. Thank you 🙏

Task list idea
I'm getting too many tasks in my list from my meetings. Literally 20-30 a day and it becomes useless to me since not everything is actionable immediately or something I necessarily want to put on my task list Suggestions: A bulk delete tasks option (delete mode - select the ones you want to delete and click one button to delete them all.A toggle option to change the way tasks at the end of a summary works. I'd like there to be a button to add it to my task list instead of a check box to mark it completeTo expand on number 2, there should also be a bulk add tasks shortcut in the drop down menu in the summary so you don't have to select one by one if you want to add them all

attach to my chatGPT account
I pay a monthly fee for chatGPT access ... and it would be useful if this device could attach to it for reference purposes and then it would allow me to ask questions across my content stored in that account as well.

Setting to auto delete “zero content” recordings
It’s possible to bump the record button or even click to record and then change your mind and cancel before any content is recorded. The system still processes and saves this. It would be good to have a setting that automatically deletes this if no content was recorded or a recording is less than “0” seconds long. For future hardware, it might be good to have a toggle lock to avoided accidental button presses.

Adding context pre-summation
I recently reviewed the summary for an audio transcript of a rather emotionally charged encounter. I found that the summary had gotten many details of the scenario incorrect because it lacked valuable context/background for the statements made. To fix this, I edited the transcript and provided extra speaker segments at position 0:00. I labeled the segments with … tags, providing additional information for the LLM to use when creating the summary. (See attached image.) This worked perfectly, and has the added bonus of keeping these notes and context with the transcript for exporting/copying. Instead of labeling, I might try just adding a new speaker named “Context” to see if that is sufficient. Anyhow, building this into the UI could be helpful for others, if the idea is worthwhile. Meanwhile, this “hack” works fine for me. – Rich

Ability to merge recordings before summarizing and summarize the entire merged recording
I frequently make a lot of short recordings of ideas, things I need to do, impressions. I would like to be able to merge all of those recordings into one, then generate a summary. This would make it easier to keep a running daily journal, for instance.

Select Theme and Model when starting or uploading a recording session
I wish we could select a theme/model when starting or uploading the record. This can make the summary process a lot faster.

Send action items to task manager instead of calendar
Not everyone manages all of their action items in their calendar. I would prefer to be able to send my action items to the task manager I use (todoist, but others may want others, and almost all task managers have API capability to receive tasks) so that actions fit into my already established workflow and aren't lost in summaries inside Pocket. I don't think it is worth Pocket trying to replicate all of the functionality of a fully fledged task management app, but it does make sense to make sure action items aren't lost. Ideally, once sent to the task manager, there would be a link inside the conversation/mind map to the item in the receiving app.

Listen to audio on device
In reading through the community chat, it appears there is no way to listen to the audio files on the device itself. I have a similar device I can do this with and it's very helpful as I may record several different things each day one right after the other without stopping to name the files. During my review time, I like to listen to the beginning of the conversation to see if I even need to keep the file (and have it transcribed, summarized and mind-mapped) and then transfer it to my iPhone or Mac.

Listen to meetings that are via headset
Most of my meetings are virtual and I'm wearing a headset. This makes pocket way less useful for me as it's unable to record meetings that are not happening live or if it cannot hear the other people speak. A pocket app that can listen in on meetings or be able to import transcripts would be awesome

Export Mind Map
I was surprised that Mind Maps don't seem to be exportable as OPML files for editing on desktop. That would really make them much more usable.

API access
Access to the API so that other services can access the recordings and summaries in Pocket would be good for integrating with other productivity services.

Split recording into two or more meetings
Sometimes I forget to stop a recording and start it again when a new meeting begins (or don’t have time to). This makes the summaries weird especially when the topics are not related. I would also love to be able to just keep the recoding on all day and then split it into relèvent chunks or better yet, have the LLM suggest how to split it (maybe based on quiet pauses or which speakers are present) etc.
