  1. Listen to audio on device

In reading through the community chat, it appears there is no way to listen to the audio files on the device itself. I have a similar device I can do this with and it's very helpful as I may record several different things each day one right after the other without stopping to name the files. During my review time, I like to listen to the beginning of the conversation to see if I even need to keep the file (and have it transcribed, summarized and mind-mapped) and then transfer it to my iPhone or Mac.

  2. Sorting within knowledge base

I would love to be able to sort all of my recordings/notes. Especially on days where I have multiple meetings, or to sort across all memories. Or, today I imported some files recorded on my phone previously. I'm now renaming them using my conventions (Date, project, topic), but it would be really helpful if I could sort. It would be great to integrate that into the action items as well.

  3. Listen to meetings that are via headset

Most of my meetings are virtual and I'm wearing a headset. This makes pocket way less useful for me as it's unable to record meetings that are not happening live or if it cannot hear the other people speak. A pocket app that can listen in on meetings or be able to import transcripts would be awesome

  4. Sync Over WiFi (Pocket Device -> Your WiFi Router)

It would be really awesome if we could configure an access point for pocket to connect to (e.g., your home’s wireless router) for auto syncing to pocket cloud instead of directly to your phone via the app. This would be significantly easier, faster, and additionally an option to have it always sync or on while charging would be incredible! Yeah, battery life would probably take a hit but worth it in my opinion. I saw other idea posts here but they seemed to just be talking about connecting the device to the mobile app via WiFi and NOT the pocket device itself connecting to an access point. Unless I’m missing some aspect of security or hardware limitations, this seems like it would benefit a lot of pocket users who aren’t around their phone all day.

  5. Add random action thought

We all have thoughts in day and will do it later but as I have cognitive impairment I have to do tasks straight away or record it somehow to remind me later. I thought I had this option last week but since last update this has gone

  6. Ability to start recording immediately after power on without additional button press

Most of the time I keep my pocket device powered off throughout the day and then turn it on right before recording. I want the recording to start and vibration feedback right away, without needing to look at the device. Right now it’s a little annoying to press and hold and need to look at the light to make sure it’s turned on, then release and press again to start the recording. Perhaps there can be a setting in the app to allow this by default? Or if there can be a different button press UX for turn on + record vs. just turn on? Also curious to know if most people also only turn on their device when needed, or if they leave the pocket ok the whole day day.

  7. Plans for MacOS, Windows, or Linux (Web) apps?

The ability to access and work with the cloud data on other non-mobile devices would be a great option for those who wish to use full size displays and keyboards when possible. V1 at https://community.heypocket.com/t/pocket-web-is-live-beta-and-happy-halloween/692/4 -- Pocket Team

  8. Send action items to task manager instead of calendar

Not everyone manages all of their action items in their calendar. I would prefer to be able to send my action items to the task manager I use (todoist, but others may want others, and almost all task managers have API capability to receive tasks) so that actions fit into my already established workflow and aren't lost in summaries inside Pocket. I don't think it is worth Pocket trying to replicate all of the functionality of a fully fledged task management app, but it does make sense to make sure action items aren't lost. Ideally, once sent to the task manager, there would be a link inside the conversation/mind map to the item in the receiving app.

  9. Trim recorded transcript if you forget to stop recording

Editing transcript is similar but trimming the recording would be a bulk way to edit as well as shrink file size.

  10. Listen to Recording + Jump to Time in Audio via Transcript

For instance pressing on a timestamp in the transcript will bring you to the place in the recording. This would allow you easily identify voices and see who said what. Sometimes if you have a very long recording, it can be a slog or you can completely forget who mentioned/said what based on only the text context.

  11. Sync to Google Drive?

Hello recently, my trial from being an early buyer ran out, and I the cost of the , so I’m looking for a way to continue using it without losing information every 14 days. Since I already a Google account for my business and have plenty of storage there I was hoping there might be an option coming, allowing us to in the to Google Drive option where load recordings and then relevant transcriptions or maps that were generated into the same folder added bonus would be to do this with iCloud as well with my limited knowledge I feel like this would be a pretty useful feature with pretty minimal time and effort expended as a developer— but again my limited knowledge may not be correct here.

  13. Adding context pre-summation

I recently reviewed the summary for an audio transcript of a rather emotionally charged encounter. I found that the summary had gotten many details of the scenario incorrect because it lacked valuable context/background for the statements made. To fix this, I edited the transcript and provided extra speaker segments at position 0:00. I labeled the segments with … tags, providing additional information for the LLM to use when creating the summary. (See attached image.) This worked perfectly, and has the added bonus of keeping these notes and context with the transcript for exporting/copying. Instead of labeling, I might try just adding a new speaker named “Context” to see if that is sufficient. Anyhow, building this into the UI could be helpful for others, if the idea is worthwhile. Meanwhile, this “hack” works fine for me. – Rich

  14. Lifetime Pro Membership

I’d really like a lifetime pro price. Most companies set it to 2.5 - 3 years and the considered a lifetime member. And I also think we are sick is subscriptions. Thanks. Kelly Skibinski

  15. Audio sample to help identify soeakers

If we could listen to the first 10 seconds the person is saying, we can assign the speakers better. Right now I’m not confident in assigning speaker names. And even if I state my name, it doesn’t pick it up in the recording and a speaker. We’re gonna assign speaker so he needs to be a little bit more intuitive.
