Feature Ideas
Submit IdeaLifetime Pocket Pro subscription
Can we get an option to buy a lifetime subscription at a deal to pocket pro as early adopters? I see value in the upgrade but hate having subscription fees. Many other products I have used had the lifetime option and got all the features on their device and devices they upgraded to later. Let’s go for premium so we can refer even more to the service and device!!

Stop prompting upgrade to Pro Account
I have only had my device for a short time. Even so, I am getting really irritated by the constant pressure to upgrade to a pro account. I do not need nor can I justify the cost of this option. Indeed, my main reason for buying a Pocket rather than one of a myriad of competing products is the claim that it offers free minutes forever. I have seen the upgrade options. Please provide a toggle or some mechanism so that I can turn this advertising off. Otherwise I think you will antagonise many more customers and not just me.

Having the ability to delete an accidental recording while its being summarized
Today I accidentally recorded a 2-hour long convo and tried to delete and Pocket would not let me until it finished summarizing.

Global “Ask Pocket” across all recordings (second-brain mode)
What I want (plain English): Ask one question and have Pocket search everything I’ve captured (all recordings/notes), then answer with where it found it (recording title + timestamp). I shouldn’t have to remember when I said something—Pocket should. Everyday examples: “What did I say about Ella’s birthday gifts last month?” “Summarize all mentions of Project Skylark since September and list open tasks.” “When did I agree to send the Q3 report, and what date did I say?” How I’ll know it’s working (acceptance criteria): Global scope toggle — Ask Pocket searches my entire workspace (all recordings, notes, uploads). Source-aware answers — Replies include links with timestamp + recording name so I can jump right there. Time filters — Natural language like “last week,” “between Aug 10–20,” “this quarter.” Entity continuity — Recognize people/projects/topics across time (even nicknames) and merge duplicates. Privacy controls — Simple exclude switch for specific recordings/folders. Mobile-first UX — One home search bar for global Ask; also a per-recording Ask inside sessions. Performance — Answers in a few seconds for normal queries; progressive results on larger searches. Nice-to-haves: “What changed since last time?” diffs for projects I follow. Auto-created topic hubs (e.g., all “Ella’s birthday” mentions) with an evolving summary + action items. A simple graph/mind-map showing how mentions connect across time. Why this fits Pocket: It already “connects the dots” in summaries/mind maps; this makes Ask work the same way for everyday questions.

Add random action thought
We all have thoughts in day and will do it later but as I have cognitive impairment I have to do tasks straight away or record it somehow to remind me later. I thought I had this option last week but since last update this has gone

Listen to meetings that are via headset
Most of my meetings are virtual and I'm wearing a headset. This makes pocket way less useful for me as it's unable to record meetings that are not happening live or if it cannot hear the other people speak. A pocket app that can listen in on meetings or be able to import transcripts would be awesome

Label speakers BEFORE summarizing or Add an easier way to label
Right now, when you sync, there's a button you click to generate a summary and a pop-up happens asking you to choose a template. I feel like here it should also have you label the speakers, so that when it's summarizing it will summarize with names instead of "speaker 3". In order to change it from "speaker 3" to "john" you have to go into the transcript and tap on them. It would make a lot more sense to be able to access the speaker labeling functions quicker and easier.

Setting to auto delete “zero content” recordings
It’s possible to bump the record button or even click to record and then change your mind and cancel before any content is recorded. The system still processes and saves this. It would be good to have a setting that automatically deletes this if no content was recorded or a recording is less than “0” seconds long. For future hardware, it might be good to have a toggle lock to avoided accidental button presses.

Folders and organization
Adding a folder or grouping system to organize recorded conversations and chat histories. While tagging is currently available and useful for search, it does not fully address the need for structured organization and workflow management. Tags primarily function as metadata for discovery, but they do not provide a clear hierarchical or contextual grouping of related conversations. For users with large volumes of recordings or chats, it becomes difficult to review discussions within a specific project, client engagement, or topic area. A folder-based structure would provide several advantages: Structured Organization Users could group related conversations (e.g., projects, clients, research topics, or internal meetings) into dedicated folders, making navigation and review significantly easier. Improved Historical Review Folders allow users to quickly browse and revisit conversations within a defined context, rather than relying on search queries or individual tags. Complementary to Tagging Tagging should remain for cross-cutting categorization and search, but folders provide a different organizational layer: a primary container rather than just a label. AI Context at the Folder Level A particularly powerful enhancement would be the ability to run AI queries against an entire folder or group. For example: Summarize all conversations within a folder. Identify recurring themes or decisions across meetings. Extract action items across a project’s recordings. Generate a knowledge summary from all discussions within a topic. This capability would effectively turn folders into contextual knowledge containers, allowing the AI to operate over a curated dataset rather than isolated recordings.

Trim recorded transcript if you forget to stop recording
Editing transcript is similar but trimming the recording would be a bulk way to edit as well as shrink file size.

Add Personal Context - Profile Info for AI to have access to
adding additional context like job title, key people, company info or department structure can help the AI better interpret and summarize transcriptions with greater contextual accuracy. Similar to adding to profile memory in ChatGPT. Granola and other AI notetaking summary apps have this as a core feature.

Task list idea
I'm getting too many tasks in my list from my meetings. Literally 20-30 a day and it becomes useless to me since not everything is actionable immediately or something I necessarily want to put on my task list Suggestions: A bulk delete tasks option (delete mode - select the ones you want to delete and click one button to delete them all.A toggle option to change the way tasks at the end of a summary works. I'd like there to be a button to add it to my task list instead of a check box to mark it completeTo expand on number 2, there should also be a bulk add tasks shortcut in the drop down menu in the summary so you don't have to select one by one if you want to add them all

Lifetime Pro Membership
I’d really like a lifetime pro price. Most companies set it to 2.5 - 3 years and the considered a lifetime member. And I also think we are sick is subscriptions. Thanks. Kelly Skibinski

Plans for MacOS, Windows, or Linux (Web) apps?
The ability to access and work with the cloud data on other non-mobile devices would be a great option for those who wish to use full size displays and keyboards when possible. V1 at https://community.heypocket.com/t/pocket-web-is-live-beta-and-happy-halloween/692/4 -- Pocket Team

Dark Mode for Pocket App
Why This Matters, I love what Pocket is doing, it’s a brilliant tool that’s become part of my workflow. But after using it for a few hours, especially at night or in low-light environments, the bright white interface can be tough on the eyes. For people like me who deal with photo sensitivity or light-triggered eye strain, a Dark Mode isn’t just a preference, it’s a necessity. It allows us to stay productive, focused, and comfortable without having to step away because of light fatigue. Why It’s Worth Adding • Dark mode improves accessibility for users with light sensitivity. • It reduces glare and blue light strain, especially during long sessions. • It matches the user experience expectations set by most modern productivity tools today. • It would make the Pocket app more inclusive while appealing to design-conscious and night-owl users alike. The Ask Let’s get Dark Mode on the roadmap! It’s one of those “quality-of-life” upgrades that everyone benefits from, plus, it’s Sexy, whether you’re working late, presenting in a dim setting, or just prefer a calmer interface. If you’d like to see this happen too, upvote this suggestion so the dev team can prioritize it sooner. Every click helps push this closer to implementation. Let’s make the Pocket app easier on the eyes. Thank you 🙏
